The students in my 7th grade class are a group of diverse students. They are children from many different backgrounds, with many different beliefs and customs, working together on a common goal, education. More than half of my students come from low income households.
They are hardworking, inquisitive and determined young minds.
They have a passion for reading and learning that is outstanding. My students are excellent role models and wish to make a difference in the world. I believe that they should have everything they need to succeed.
Many of my students and their families do not have the ability to buy their own supplies. I never want a child in my class to be without the things they need to be a successful student. It is important to me that my students feel comfortable enough to ask for school supplies they are lacking, including folders, pencils and highlighters.
All of the school supplies that are being asked for in this project will be placed in the class closet; students will be able to access whatever they need when they need it.
I am hoping this project will help insure that my students have what they need for this school year.
