My students need Post-It wall paper to create interactive charts that can be referenced throughout each unit. My students also need quality pencils and erasers to be successful throughout each school day.
I teach at a school in the heart of rural, central Kentucky. Most of my students come from low-income households and 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch each day. Amazing programs are put in place at my school that help students receive food, supplies, clothing, and other basic materials that help to meet their basic needs.
My students have big responsibilities at home, so they come to school ready to be loved and ready to LEARN!
They are critical thinkers, questioners, talkers, and LEADERS! They are growing and learning in a community that wants them to be successful and lead, always. With the right environment, influences, and resources, they will prosper and reach their goals!
My Project
Post-It wall chart paper will help my students and I create anchor charts and interactive charts throughout each unit that help students remember writing strategies and important history content. Flipchart markers will be used by students to create vibrant posters that reflect what they have learned.
My students will find greater success when they have access to good quality supplies for writing and social studies.
Ticonderoga pencils are the most durable pencils for thinkers and writers in my history and writing classroom. Erasers will help my students understand that mistakes are okay and actually help us learn, we simply have to erase and try again!
My students love to create, so construction paper allows them to create art that is realistic and representative of historical cultures.
