Supplies My Artists Keep Asking For!

Help me give my students the ability to make the art crave. This list of sharpies, gel pens, and craft sticks is based on items we have run out of that kids keep desperately asking for.

My Project

Our Studio is a place of intense freedom and creativity. Kids get to make artworks of their own ideation. Kids tell me every day in the morning how much they look forward to art and what they are planning to create. Works range from outfits for teddy bears to flower paintings for grandmas. This list is items kids specifically asked/begged for. Last Friday at least 5 artists asked "Mrs. Major when will we have popsicle sticks again?" The watercolor paper we received from our last donors choose has been a huge hit and is about to run out. We have no more white or black construction paper. This basic supply was very popular for drawing, painting, and printmaking.

I guarantee that if we get this list, kids will be literally cheering.

They love art. They love making. They have specific visions they want to achieve. This list is what they asked for and a few things I would like to surprise them with!

Our studio makes use of everything we can, including lots of recyclables. Supplies like tacky glue and sharpies are very helpful for working with upcycled items like bottle-caps and cardboard. Thank you so much for considering this project. My artists are 1st-5th graders at a traditional DC public school.
