My Students

Every morning the students of the Eliot Innovation School start off with a community meeting, getting each and every student ready for the day and prepared to learn!

A day full of engaging reading, writing and math activities!

Social Studies and Science texts are an area of need in my classroom, the students are eager and ready to learn but lack of resources is holding them back! Our school is in the heart of Boston, kids come here from different sections of the city ready to learn and absorb all that they are offered at school. My class is one of two second grade classrooms, yet our school is growing and next year there will be four second grade classrooms. Our school is progressive and full of teachers, parents and kids who are here to make sure that all students in grades K-8 get the most fulfilling education imaginable.

My Project

The student's will use the Kindle Fire's to engage with books and develop their vocabulary through the use of the many applications offered on the device. The bare books will be used for students to display the hard work they have put in to their school year in our annual "portfolio night". Chart paper, dry erase markers, pencil sharpeners, laminating sheets, card stock and bookshelves will all be used to set up our new classrooms to be prepared for next year's students!

Our school is a growing and innovative school.

We are expanding over the next few years to allow for more students to attend the school. As part of this expansion process, teachers will be moving to newly renovated classrooms and starting from scratch in terms of supplies and space. These donations will allow us to provide the basic foundation for our students to learn and succeed.
