My Students

Because we do not have lockers, and only have small desks, we really don't have our own space to keep our supplies. It's so important to be organized in school. I would love for my students to each have a pocket to store their materials in a clean and organized way.

We are a third grade classroom of 22 fun loving, excited boys and girls!

We are from East Texas and are part of a Pre-K thru 3rd Grade Campus. We are a socio-economically disadvantaged campus. In December we will be moving into a new building and our rooms are much smaller and organization will be a MUST! These supplies will help my students with organizational skills that will help their educational outlook.

My Project

Organization is the key to success! In order to keep our desks organized and reading books safe, it would be nice to have chair pockets where we could keep our independent reading books. Chair pockets would help us greatly in keeping our desk organized and our beloved books safe! Using chair pockets in the classroom will be a beneficial asset to all the students involved. Our small desks are filled with notebooks, textbooks, folders, and supply boxes. This leaves very little room for more than one book. One book is simply not enough for these eager learners. Using the chair pockets will allow the students to keep approximately four books with them at all times. This will also allow the books to be kept in excellent condition preserving them for many years and future students. Using the chair pockets will also minimize the time the students use while searching for a book in a sometimes "unorganized" mess.

I believe this project will benefit the students and help to keep them more organized.

In addition it will reduce the frustration level of students who are constantly searching for materials they cant find. The pockets will help kids keep everything in their place and learning rolling right along!
