This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative and loving. Our classroom culture is one that everyone feels welcomed and loved and there is always someone around to lend a helping hand. Our school environment is one of mostly low income families.
Families send their scholars to school to not only ensure they are getting a great education, but for many to make sure they are getting at least two meals a daily.
Many of our families find it difficult to afford school supplies under normal circumstances, let alone with what's going on in the world now. Many of our scholars have pencil cases that travel to and from school just so they have the school supplies they need at home, in order to complete homework assignments.
My Project
These materials will help students' learning from home by providing them with the necessary tools they need to complete the work. Most of my scholars do not have the basic school supplies at home.
Help these kids soar to success.
The last things parents should have to worry about right now is how to provide their students with crayons and pencils so that they can finish their work.
Help take some worry away from parents that are still struggling with the fact that they have been working through this pandemic the whole time it has been going on and fearing the worst of bringing it home to their families.
