This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at an urban school where the students want to learn, but don't always have the means. As an elementary teacher in a low income, high poverty school district, I work to create meaningful learning experiences. The students face many challenges on a daily basis both in and out of the classroom. I strive to make our classroom a safe place with consistency and routine for my students. I want my students to leave fourth grade with wonderful memories of the school year.
My Project
I try to have all supplies needed for a successful school day. I supply paper, pencils, markers, glue, pencil sharpeners, and much much more. We had enough supplies for the first have of the year, but unfortunately I am running out. The students love the independence of grabbing supplies needed and using them.
My students love the activities I do and I don’t want to have to stop due to lack of supplies.
Please help me give my students so many opportunities to learn and grow by not having to have to worry about lack of paper, pencils, and markers. Your help is greatly appreciated as always.
