Help me give my students the supplies such as notebooks, pencils, scissors and headphones for them to be able to complete tasks and be successful in their learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are part of a Title I extended day campus in a metropolitan area. We serve a diverse population of students of low socioeconomic status. Students are provided additional instruction within the day to build strong reading and math skills.
Students come to school excited to learn everyday!
It is so exciting to see them arriving early to school to be the first ones in the day to start their day of learning. They are determined learners who love showing off the knowledge, yet many come without the basic supplies needed due to the financial strains their families are under.
My Project
Having the basic supplies for our students to complete their daily learning tasks will provide them with opportunity to record and practice skills being taught. They will also be able to demonstrate their understanding and mastery of the required standards.
Our students want and deserve to be successful, but do not always have the materials they need to be successful daily in their academic program.
By having basic supplies such as pencils, notebooks, scissors and headphones for daily technology tasks, students will have what they need for the opportunity to learn and demonstrate their learning, so that as their teacher, I will be able to assess and provide needed intervention and support to increase their academic success.
