Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fifth-grade bilingual students walk into the classroom every day so eager to learn. They all try their very best to succeed; however, other things can get in their way.
All my students deserve the chance to receive a proper education with the materials needed right in front of them.
Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and 100% of them receive free or reduced-price lunch. All are English language learners and have come to the US for a better education and life. Although there might be struggles, these lovely students come to school with smiles on their faces regardless of what is happening in their lives.
My Project
My students need new school supplies to have a successful school year. They deserve the best and to feel like they are the best. They will use the binders, folders, and notebooks to keep all their studies organized and neat. We also need pencils, erasers and whiteboard markers to keep track of and practice the skills that are going to be learned.
Having these school supplies will make them feel special and ready to succeed.
I am 100% positive my students will appreciate all these wonderful but simple school supplies in order to feel like they can have success this academic school year.
