This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our KIPP Sunnyside High School 12th grade students are strong, motivated, and independent individuals who have big college dreams. Throughout their senior year, each student has worked diligently to keep up their good grades, participate in extracurricular activities, and have applied to colleges and universities around the nation.
Our students are hardworking and have the potential to be great leaders in our world.
All of the 117 seniors have post-secondary plans and we are proud of them for moving forward with them. We would like to give away the donated items to celebrate their decision to go to college.
My Project
KIPP Sunnyside is having an event called College Decision Day where we will celebrate the college acceptances of each student. This event is meant to encourage and motivate students to continue their path to attending college the upcoming fall semester.
Being given a mini fridge or printer would alleviate financial stress for our future college students.
Our school serves low income students who appreciate any help that is given. Our students work hard for all that they have every day of their lives and this event is meant to be joyous. We hope that you can support us and our students.
