If you walked into our classroom, you would notice bursts of color everywhere and you would hear a buzzing of learning, sharing, laughter, discovery, and excitement. It's an encouraging place and there's never a dull moment.
Inquiring, knowledgeable, and curious are all words to describe my very enthusiastic students.
I have a very diverse group of eager fourth graders that come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Through hands-on, exciting, and active assessment, all students in my fourth grade classroom prove themselves time and time again.
My Project
Students benefit from an organized teacher and a classroom with supplies at their fingertips. Some don't realize that these items are often purchased out of teacher's pockets. With these items, I will organize supplies for small group instruction, and provide the items they need for day-to-day life in the classroom!
With these materials, our classroom will be able to run smoothly all year.
The organizer will allow me to organize the pens, pencils, highlighters, Expo markers and other items needed for daily small group instruction. I will use the highlighters, pencils, pens and Expo Markers to model various reading and writing strategies. Students will then use these same supplies to practice the strategies modeled and taught in small groups. They will also use these supplies to continue practicing the strategies during independent work. All of these things allow me to organize our classroom so students are learning from minute to minute, block to block.
