Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my class come from low income families. My students live in a difficult area where many struggle day to day. This is a Title I school and many students struggle with basic needs. My PK students love coming to school in spite of their financial circumstances. My students love to come to school but many come without any school supplies. My students work hard everyday and want to complete assignments but without the necessary supplies it becomes very difficult.
My Project
With these supplies my students will be able to maximize their learning. We will be able to have everything we need to get assignments done. We will have plenty of disinfecting wipes to clean tables after breakfast in the classroom and snack time. The hand sanitizer will help minimize germs and maintain a clean classroom environment. Students will have binders with sheet protective covers for study materials. The stickers will be used to boost students confidence in a positive learning environment. The playdough and tool sets will be used in the fine motor skills center. This will help students learn their numbers, shapes and letters while having fun. The dry erase markers will be used for writing activities such as morning message on the board. Every year I have several students in my class who are left handed. These students struggle because we only have right hand scissors in our classroom. The magnetic storage boxes, turn-in-your-work organizer, and reusable write and wipe pockets will allow students to maintain an organized classroom.
