Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. I have students who are classified as upper class, I have students who are classified as lower class, and I even have a homeless shelter population.
My school is very diverse and unique.
This brings different challenges, but it makes us who we are. When we are learning, we have to remember that everyone has different challenges in their life and we need to accept everyone for who they are. We get many different perspectives on the same topic, which makes it so fun to learn.
My Project
The bandaids, ointment, and pulse ox are so crucial to my class to be able to give my students the things they need. I like to help all of my students in my class without having to send them out. These items would be able to allow me to help my asthmatic students as well as cuts and bruises.
The floor tape, printer ink, bean bag, and glade plug in refills are all items that we use quite frequently in my class and these items keep my classroom floating.
The floor tape and printer ink are things that help when we do certain activities in my gym. I love to have a bean bag as a safe place for students to go and sit and reflect or calm down.
