This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are multidimensional. They're inquisitive, humorous, compassionate, and resilient. While many of the students at my school have experiences challenges at home such as financial hardships and emotional trauma they come to school each day with a desire to learn.

Despite any struggles that they have endured, it is essential that my classroom remain a safe and welcoming environment, so they feel at home at school.

I am inspired each and every day by my students to continue to advocate for them and to learn from them.

My Project

In the last few months of school we are in desperate need of some last minute supplies. The little money that the school has allotted for supplies has been spent and now we are in need of some supplies for the end of the year. This project will help fund supplies like markers for drawing, dictionaries for students to utilize during reading time, and Expo markers for students to use during math while completing computations on whiteboards.

In our classroom we enjoy learning in many different ways.

For example, we watch, move, draw, and discuss our subjects to ensure we are fully immersed in learning! We are motivated to end our year on a strong and positive note, just like we started our 4th grade year! Myself and my students appreciate every single donation our classroom is fortunate enough to receive.
