Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a high poverty area and many times do not have access to important school supplies at home. Our school district is going through a series of budget cuts. It's very difficult for me to provide them with the supplies we need in the classroom to complete the day to day assignments.
Our school is a Title I school and the majority of students qualify for a free lunch.
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood with a very diverse range of home structures such as nuclear, single parent, foster and migrant to name a few. However, my students are eager to learn.
My Project
We need your help to make our education experience the best it can be. By donating to our project, you will be providing my students with spiral notebooks to do their math and science assignments. They will also have access to sheet protectors and folders that will help them keep their work in a safe and organized place. The markers pencils, post-its and pens will help them keep their math/science notes organized.
Having the basic supplies is crucial to learning.
Our project is very important because my students need these supplies to complete the day to day activities during science and math.
