I teach at risk students in five grade levels at a Title I school. One hundred percent of our student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. Every day they work very hard on their educational goals
My students are eager to learn and be creative every day.
They are sweet, respectful, responsible, happy and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom.

My Project
My students need Headphones, Writing Paper, and Copy Paper to be able to work on grade level with digital material printed out for them so that it is more hands on. Every student comes to me on a different level. My students are not always on the same level as their peers. I can have students that are below level to ones that are above grade level. Most of the time I am spending money out of my own pockets to buy material for my students' needs. I have to do what I can to meet everyone's needs. I can only do that with appropriate materials. The materials that we use most are copy paper so that I am able to have copies for all level of learners. The Astrobrights paper will help with differentiation, as each level will be copied onto a different color paper. My students also have time on the laptops but all of our headphones are no longer working. The Basic over the ear headphones will allow them to work on their own level without being distracted by the other students laptop noises. These supplies will allow me to purchase digital materials and print them out for them, so that they have material on their own level.
Every child deserves to have their needs met without attention called to them.
If a child is bored (which is about 35% of the class with curriculum provided) they start to lose interest. By purchasing materials that the students need they can be successful without feeling frustrated or bored. This is why I have to search for things that best meet the needs of all of my students not just a few.
