My students need cymbals and reeds to be able to play woodwind instruments. Students are unable to buy these for themselves and it would help greatly if we were able to provide reeds.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Some of my students are unable to afford quality reeds for their instruments. Quality reeds improve their sound, intonation and response on their instruments.
I teach at a low income school where 70% of the school is on free or reduced lunch.
My students work hard for what they do have, yet they are unable to afford the best! Through these projects I plan to help provide students with the best equipment so that they can learn to be the best at what they do, no matter what or who tells them they cannot.
My Project
These students will be able to learn to play their instruments properly with the proper reeds. These reeds will provide a better response and overall better intonation of the group as a whole.
Our Marching Cymbals are broken from years of use, it is now time to replace the pair we have with a new pair in order to provide the player with the best possible instrument to learn on and play.
This project will help my students be more well equipped to perform to their highest level and have the proper equipment to do so!
This will allow my band students to be able to feel good about the equipment they are using and know that they have the best!
