Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Ms. B's kindergarteners love to explore, think, and grow. They are striving to become academic learners, philosophical thinkers, effective communicators and active community contributors. Because our school is so small we receive minimal funding from the state, so we can always use your help to get us new supplies and resources.
Kindergarten is an extremely important first step in a child's educational career.
Its the foundational building block into the world of learning. By donating to our classroom project you are helping create life long memories and a lifetime of positive learning!
My Project
A new Alphabet Blocks classroom carpet will help bring students together and give them a spot of their own to learn and grow. In our classroom our rug is our meeting place and it is where we talk about our day, our feelings, we think and discuss, and listen to each other. With a new, more intimate rug we can continue to learn and grow together.
We want to learn about the world!
We want to learn about how different cultures celebrate Christmas around the world, and we need the resources to do so! Various books on different cultures will help us learn with empathy about how people around the world celebrate Christmas in different ways. Requested books include A Gnome's Christmas, The Tomten, Diwali, The Legend of Old Befana, The Legend of the Poinsettia, and Christmas in America. These stories will bring a great deal of wonderment and awe into our classroom community.
We are also trying to create a classroom where technology is integrated on a daily basis, and three Apple iPad mini tablets with protective cases for our classroom will help us achieve that goal. The iPads will allow us to listen to books read aloud, and become stronger on language arts and math skills.
