Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
All my students are English Language Learners ranging from grades first through fifth. My students come to me everyday eager to learn. Their enthusiasm sets the tone for our learning and is always the highlight of day.
Our school is nestled in the heart of Rhode Island and is the forefront of leadership in providing our ELLs (English Language Learners) the support to be successful in their mainstreamed classrooms.
I provide them support, tools and strategies to become successful, life long learners.
My Project
Students work on daily activities and projects in the classroom that requires essential tools and supplies such as scissors, papers, glues, folders and crayons. Without these supplies, students' experiences will be limited and sometimes impossible. Activities such as pictorial illustrations, journal writing and creative art activities are important parts of daily learning. Being able to provide students with these learning experiences will harbor creativity and promote academic success. When these activities are partnered with meaningful organization and safe clean environments, students will thrive in their learning. These essential supplies will provide students a safe, positive and supportive environment to become successful.
