My students need cleaning supplies and classroom materials to replace those that have run out. We need Lysol wipes, a broom, paper towels, and writing supplies for students who need them!
The students in my classes are so passionate about life! They are fantastic storytellers and compassionate speakers.
One of my favorite parts of working with them is their desire to make their voices heard and find their place in the world.
They come from a very large variety of cultural backgrounds, and they care deeply about sharing those backgrounds with their community and each other. They root for each other to succeed and celebrate each other's successes. They're such a great group of young people!
My Project
At this time of year, there are so many types of colds and flu going around. With the Lysol wipes, the students would lessen their chance of getting sick from a student in the period before. Other cleaning supplies are also dwindling and need replacing if we are going to have a clean workspace! In addition, many students have run out of supplies. The school supplies that were all on sale at the beginning of the year are now a financial burden for many of my students.
With cleaning supplies and basic classroom supplies, I'll be able to create a healthy environment where students have the materials they need to participate in class!
