Help me give my students a 3 hole punch, paper, markers, and other school supplies, classroom resources and (of course) candy to provide them with the best school experience possible.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Entering into my third year of teaching my love for my students seems to continuously grow. I have a class full of some of the biggest and brightest smiles I have ever seen. I have some of the most eager and excited children I have ever had the privilege of working with.
My students bring so much joy to those around them.
They are full of so much happiness and love. My students like to move, they love to work on iPads, they love anything Minion related, and they love learning. Many of my students are being raised in single parent households and are homeless. All of my students receive a free breakfast and lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
Although, my students may face challenges preventing them from getting ahead early in life they never let this stop them from succeeding. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom we focus on their potential and growth while they are at school. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day and make it the absolute best it can be.
My Project
I have quickly found a deep love for teaching and working with children. The things I am requesting for my classroom are the basic items that we use on a daily basis. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
School supplies, cleaning supplies, and candy will all help to meet the basic needs of my students and our classroom.
Folders will be used for both take home folders for my students as well as Math or Reading folders. These folders will help my kindergarteners to keep everything organized and in one place. The Cholox wipes and Lysol will help us to make sure that our classroom is clean and germs are not being passed along from child to child. With flu season already in full swing, I want to do my best to ensure all of my children stay healthy and are able to attend school daily. Lastly, the candy and treats will be used not only as different rewards throughout the school year but also for different counting or math activities involving 1:1 correspondence.
