I teach at a Title I elementary school in rural Texas. All of our students receive a free breakfast. We have a high population of students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. I teach students who come from various socioeconomic households, who sometimes lack the needed support at home. Despite setbacks, I am so thankful that they come to school eager to learn and do their personal best.
I want each of my students to know they can achieve success and that I believe in each of them.
We are a diverse community of learners reaching across the spectrum of ability levels, race, and socioeconomic levels. My second graders are excited about learning. Together we are working as a team in order to show growth and reach the goals we have set.
My Project
My students are creative and eager to learn and deserve every opportunity to reach their full potential. Our day is filled with activities that help my students explore and develop new concepts and practice those we have previously learned.
This project will help my students by giving them the tools needed to be successful.
These resources will help us for the remainder of this school year to have what we need to do our lessons. The pencils and markers will be used on a daily basis across the curriculum as we complete our assignments. The Goldfish will provide a burst of energy to their bodies.
