Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a small school with one teacher per grade, and there are 28 students in my class. My students are very motivated and well behaved. They devour knowledge and opportunities that they are given. Their enthusiasm is infectious. Everyone who meets them is charmed by them!
They work very hard and have great attitudes.
I love being their teacher. It is such an honor to watch them grow.
We are fortunate to have 1:1 technology, but we sometimes need supplemental items to make that technology work for us, like earbuds.
My Project
I do a lot of creative activities with my students, so they go through a lot of markers. We make graffiti posters for vocabulary words, picture dictionaries and more.
We also need better organization for both our supplies and our earbuds.
With such a large class, earbuds often get mixed up and then lost. Having some hanging storage cases for them will minimize this problem.
Having color coded organizers for our vocabulary word games and our reading group books would help a lot too. The classroom gets messy very quickly, but having places for everything to go will help stop things getting lost or damaged.
