My Project

This year, I have been working with at least 40 students in grades K-3. All students who enter my room should feel like they are able to learn by having fresh materials for the half-way point in the school year. Students should also be able to continue to see a variety of books in the classroom.

Supplies like pencils and "reading fingers" are necessary but not always readily available for students due to budgets.

When students are in my room, they are learning and creating - at least once per week I have students create a project that aligns with either the season or a topic that I am teaching on. Having colorful paper and laminating sheets will allow for students to create impressive projects and allow me to preserve them before hanging them up for the display.

Most of the books I have chosen for this project are related to taking care of the materials that I am requesting for this project. This will allow for me to have a child-friendly way of explaining why we need to care for the materials that have so generously been given to us.
