Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom has a wide range of exceptionalities. I teach students with a wide range of disabilities and abilities. My 7th and 8th grade students all have the capability to learn and achieve greatness. Although my students struggle in reading, many of them love to read and still try to do their best at the tasks that are presented to them. Currently, many of my students are interested in the "Dog Man" series and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"
All students are able to learn, no matter what obstacles they may face.
These students need a little more of a nudge towards the right direction and it is my goal to provide that nudge!
My Project
As a special education teacher, my goal is to provide a learning environment that is warm and welcoming. I want my students to come into a room where it is well organized and has books that they like to read.
The supplies needed will help organize materials and improve the use of instructional time by decreasing the time used during transitions.
The shoe caddy will be used to assign and organize headphones. In addition the colored paper and colored tape will color code various aspects of the classroom to make classroom procedures run more smoothly.
Additionally, my project also includes new books for my classroom library. My students enjoy these titles and I want to encourage them to read through high interest books.
