Help me give my students needed supplies. We use the card stock so often for projects and activities that the children can reuse or have moving parts. Extra ink and lamination pouches are needed for making games.
This is my 22nd year of teaching. 21 of those years have been in Kindergarten. I can't imagine teaching any other grade. I see such wonderful changes that take place in just this one school year. They come to me not knowing how to write their names nor able to even draw stick figures. By the end of the year, they are able to write sentences and can draw very detailed pictures with a lot of colors. It is very satisfying to witness such accomplishments. I love to see their little eyes shine when I tell them how good their handwriting has become or how artistic their drawings are, their spelling, and using spaces in sentences. I am not that artistic, but they make me feel like I am. After I model a writing or drawing activity, they "ooooh" and "aww" my work. It just makes you giggle.
My sweet students come in each day with a big smile ready to learn something new.
I love that they feel so loved by me and that school is such a happy place for them. I get called Mama almost as much as my name.
My Project
In this project, I am asking for much needed supplies for our classroom. The card stock is used often in our class. Some of the things we use the thicker paper for are activities that we want the children to use over and over such as when we make puppet pieces for retelling. Also, when we work with word families and read words. Each day, I mark each child's behavior on a monthly calendar that is kept in their folders. I run these each month on card stock so it will last the entire month.
I have been so busy making new games for my kids that I foresee running out of ink pretty soon.
I want to be able to keep making games and laminating them for durability. The pencil pouches are for storing the game pieces in.
