My students are an active group of first graders. They enjoy brain breaks, playing outside and burning energy during P.E. They also love reading stations, playing math games, and conducting simple research about a variety of topics. I am privileged to teach a phenomenal class that absolutely cannot get enough learning.
Our school provides my students with a positive environment where they can blossom and grow no matter their walk of life.
Their success is celebrated within the classroom and school-wide. I believe in pushing my students to be confident learners who can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
My Project
My students have an upcoming author project. They will need colored pencils to create detailed pictures to go with their writing. Supplying them with colored pencils will give them the ability to create precise drawings that are hard to complete with crayons and markers. Scented pencils can do double-duty as a rainbow-writing supply! We are in desperate need of a pencil sharpener, as our current sharpener quits after about 20 pencils, not even enough to get us through the day. My first graders need sharp pencils for nearly everything we do in the classroom!
Our iPads are one of the most precious resources we have in the classroom.
Recently, a few of our iPads have fallen off of the table where they are stored and been slightly damaged. The dish racks give me a safe place to keep iPads from falling and provide an easy way for us to charge them.
