I have 25 amazing first graders who are energetic, enthusiastic, motivated, and special. My students like to move, twist, stand, sit, and, most importantly, learn. My students are in an urban community, and many students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our classroom furniture is outdated, and I am looking to transform my everyday classroom into a kinesthetic learning environment to best meet the needs of all of my students. The students in my classroom range from regular education to ESL to special education. My high expectations and drive bring me to this project for my students.
My Project
My students need some superhero supplies to start off our super school year! As my super new first graders arrive we need fresh school supplies to start up our year. My students need superhero pencils, superhero erasers, superhero lollipops, superhero slap bracelets, and posters. These supplies will be used by all the students and shared in stations, independent work and can even be used at home if needed! The students can wear their bracelets to show off their unique super hero traits in first grade and spread their mindful behaviors throughout the school! Traits of hard work, kindness, helpful, brave, responsible etc. will be rewarded with a superhero lollipop that they can take home and enjoy with their families!
Students will use their school supplies such as pencils and erasers to do math activities, write sentences and during all written activities during our busy school days!
