Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students come from multiple countries, speak numerous languages, and have diverse families. But all our students work hard to learn and help each other. They have a wide range of reading levels, which makes learning some concepts harder, but we focus on reading development as the backbone for all lessons.
We also work with hands on manipulatives so students can develop stronger connections to math ideas taught.
Our community is supportive of our students and takes pride in our campus.
My Project
Having glue and crayons and supplies are the most effective way to help small learners. Getting them supplies and learning how to take care of supplies allows students to gain integrity and pride. It also teaches them how to be prepared and the importance of staying neat and organized. Also getting the supplies to the students allows them to work better as a team and a learning community. It allows them to be able to work more efficiently in our math and science lessons. It also allows for them to have access to tools for their other learning endeavors in their other subject areas.
