My students need comfortable seating and a snack to eat in our library. They usually sit on the floor, but I would love for them to have an inviting space to read and eat.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing and have so much to offer our world! I work in a title 1 school in an impoverished area. My students are always excited and happy to begin their day in our classroom. They are anxious to learn new things and to apply what they have learned to everyday situations.
My students' background can often be heartbreaking.
Many times I have students come to school on empty stomachs, dirty clothes, and lacking in proper hygiene. I do my best to make up for what they are missing before they begin their day.
The reason my students are so special is because even though they face challenging obstacles daily they come to school with a happy heart and many are willing to learn something new that day. I have a sweet bunch this year whom I want to give my best to. Will you help me, please? Thank you

My Project
These materials would help my students a great deal! My students enjoy reading books and would also enjoy a comfortable seating area to read these books. They currently use the floor and their desks as places of relaxation to read their books.
My students also love snacks!
The school provides a fruit or vegetable Tuesday-Thursday, but not on Monday and Friday. Students are often left waiting to eat until lunchtime because many of them do not eat breakfast. Snacks would be greatly appreciated in room 3 to enjoy on Mondays and Fridays!
My students are a grateful bunch and I know they would very much appreciate any of these items!
