My Students

My students have curious minds that eager to learn and explore the world around them! They come to school each day looking to have a good day and learn something new. My class is a group 22 energized 2nd graders with diverse backgrounds and needs. They live in an urban Boston neighborhood and don't have a lot of access to books and technology, however that doesn't stop them from coming up with questions and ideas that they want to pursue!

My Project

These series books would be an amazing addition to our classroom! As we progress in our reading skills my students need more books that they can read independently that are on their level. These books will give students an opportunity to grow as a reader and to begin to find their identity as independent readers.

These books were carefully chosen with my students backgrounds and interests in mind. Each series contains characters that my students can connect to and stories that are similar to their own.

These books will give my students characters that they can see themselves in, as well as stories that they can read and enjoy independently!
