Super Storage Solutions, Part 2

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Help us! We have busy, delightful students with special needs and a classroom that is not quite large enough! We desperately need to have some space-saving storage solutions. Our classroom is filled with wonderful and useful learning games, hands-on experiments and sensory activities to inspire learning across all areas of the curriculum! We have puppets, Leap Pads, a TON of colorful and engaging books, P.E. equipment, art supplies and much, much more. We unfortunately do NOT have the appropriate types of storage required to keep all of this organized and easy to use on a daily basis. Every morning, our students come into the room and locate their personal seat work file for that day. This process is often chaotic and time-consuming due to a lack of space and organization for these files. We would like to request the "all-purpose teaching organizer," with a labeled, differently colored file box for each day of the week. We also have many wonderful books that require a safe and centrally located piece of furniture. These books are often strewn across the room, with torn pages and covers. The students need a visual organization system, one that they can be trained on from the beginning of the school year. Books are precious items for learning and enjoyment. These children need to learn how to respect their library and be responsible for keeping it clean and properly arranged. Our hanging storage is virtually nonexistent, but we are fortunate enough to have a complete set of literacy centers which need a place to hang. We would like to request the matching rack for this set of learning tools. Lastly, our playground and P.E. equipment is bulky and unruly. We would love to have 2 drawstring ball bags for keeping our equipment contained and checked in properly after use. As you can imagine, our classroom requires many options to store a wide variety of helpful learning tools. We have been blessed by past donations and now we need effective storage solutions for keeping our precious materials safe and organized for years to come. Help us extend the life of these items and teach the children responsibility for keeping their classroom in good working condition.
