My Students

My classroom is full of thoughtful and curious students who love to learn in diverse ways. Our classroom is innovative and exciting. Students engage in self-directed learning and inquiry. Learning is focused and fun! Kids in this class love to explore, investigate, and enhance their own growing knowledge.

Our school, located in Portland, Oregon, is committed to fostering creativity and independence in all students.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to be comfortable and engaged in self-directed learning! These seating options will keep students excited about learning. In a flexible seating classroom, students have choice and agency. Kids can pick the kind of seats they need and they can choose where they want to learn. How cool is that?! These materials--ergonomic chairs--allow our classroom to be dynamic and ever-changing. Learning will never be dull or monotonous with these flexible seating options! Imagine if you had the option in school to chill out on a balance ball while you read, or maybe a traditional chair is more your style. Imagine having the choice...wouldn't that be fantastic!
