Help me give my students Learniture Active Learning Stools to encourage opportunities to communicate and work with others while facilitating stronger communication.
I teach a diverse group of fifth-grade students, with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. They are insightful, entertaining, and curious children, with varying strengths and weaknesses.
My kids enjoy collaborative activities and assignments but struggle with perseverance when they view tasks as challenging.
They also desire purposeful learning activities to help them make sense of the real world.
I love to see the surprise and excitement when my students conquer a tough challenge, and how their facial expressions and their attitude change to determination. I want to help my children continue developing their communication skills, especially when they get frustrated. I want them to see that hard isn't a bad thing, but an opportunity to rise to the challenge.
My Project
My project "Super Seating for Collaboration" helps my students overcome their frustrations and learn to persevere when things get difficult.
These different stools provide students with the opportunity to get close to one another and work more collaboratively on various math assignments and science investigative projects in the classroom throughout the school year.
Students will have the flexibility to move the stools around and utilize the space more effectively in order to complete group activities.
Students thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to choose their workspace when they collaborate and the stools allow them to feel comfortable using a variety of locations.
