My school is an inner city, low income Philadelphia Public School. Our school is very diverse and I teach many English Language Learner students. My students are eager to learn and enjoy mathematics class. Education is important to my students as well as their families.
My students need basic supplies so that they can be successful learners!
Every day, I try and push their learning just a little farther than the day before. I spend a lot of money out of my pocket to purchase basic school supplies. These supplies will help my students complete projects and assignments in my classroom.
My Project
Many of my students come to school without the necessary school supplies needed for them to be successful. I spend a lot of my own money to help my students with the supplies they need. These school supplies will allow them to be ready to learn and put them on the road to being a successful student!
My students need scissors, paper and glue so they can focus on being creative learners and not have to worry about not having the supplies that they need on a daily basis.
They also need dry erase markers to work in their math centers.
All of these items are used in my classroom regularly and your help will allow many of my underprivileged students be on par with their peers!
