My Project

My developmental kindergarten students come from a range of backgrounds and our school is located in a rural community.

They come with various interests, imaginations, and skills. My students are curious explorers who will someday change the world.

Reading books in an early childhood classroom is essential, and they can be used for all subject areas such as reading, math, science, writing, and social emotional development. This year, students are soaring with phonics skills, and they need a more diverse library. They have gone above and beyond this year and need books that support sight word instruction and phonemic awareness. Right now, I do not have a big enough classroom library to make an impact on them or to help develop their love of reading. I am asking for some more books and shelves for my classroom library to help all of my students learn to love reading.
