My Students
My students need books to capture their imaginations and to motivate them to learn to read. They need high interest texts to keep them engaged and to make them want to learn more and more!
My students are a group of sweet little boys. They love to come to school and they love to share their interests. They talk about Legos, Star Wars, super heroes, and science! They love to make new friends. My boys take pride in their work and smile from ear to ear when showing off their new learning accomplishments.
My Project
My students will use their new books during their independent reading time. When I am teaching them reading strategies and sight words I see them being motivated to learn so that they can read these books on their own! It is hard to find high interest books on a beginning kindergarten reading level... And these books are just the right fit.
These books will get my students excited about learning. These books will grab my students attention and will make them want to practice their reading skills. When students are engaged there will be less behavior problems and a drastic improvement in learning!
