We are a busy and diverse group of kindergartners in the Southern California area. Our school is considered high poverty, and many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I am fortunate to teach an amazing group of students that love to learn and play and work together. We come from extremely diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and are different in many ways, but we have built an awesome community of learners who thrive and learn together in a cohesive learning environment.
My Project
My kindergarten students use flair pens, dry erase markers, colored pencils, and markers on a daily basis. We are in need of materials for our classroom to keep our reading and writing workshop going strong. In morning, we write on our white boards and use dry erase markers. During writing and math workshop, we use Flair pens and post-its to jot down thoughts and "Wow" pages, which we love to do, but our supply is dwindling quickly. Every day, we draw and color with colored pencils and markers.
Needless to say, we go through our writing materials fast in kindergarten.
As you can imagine, we often have the missing top or a point pressed down too hard or pens just disappear. Please help us keep a steady supply of materials in our classroom!
