My Students

We are a busy and diverse group of kindergartners in the Southern California area. Our school is considered high poverty, and many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I am fortunate to teach an amazing group of students that love to learn and play and work together. We come from extremely diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and are different in many ways, but we have built an awesome community of learners who thrive and learn together in a cohesive learning environment.

My Project

We are so lucky to have received new bookcases and many new books and toys through Donors Choose. We have been very excited about receiving these items, but we need more baskets to organize everything in our classroom.

New baskets will help keep our classroom organized, in tip-top shape, and ensure that everything is easy to find.

Having an organized play area and the library will help us independently keep our classroom organized and neat. We would also like to have some floor pillows so that when we do find a great book to read, we can find a cozy spot and practice our super reading powers!
