My Students

My students come from a wide range of backgrounds and deal with many issues that no child should ever be confronted with. Many families live in shelters or transitional housing; school is often the most stable place for them to thrive. I want to make my classroom a safe haven for them, a place where they can grow both academically and emotionally. Fun seating options would really help me solidify this year as a truly magical and memorable experience for my very special kiddos!

My Project

These wobble chairs and comfy floor seats will help the classroom be more inviting! My students often struggle with trying new things and persevering through tough tasks. I really want them to get excited about reading a book or getting right to that collaborative learning, these extra options will help entice them to do so. These seats will also help my students who work better with movement and my reluctant writers. Using these seats as an incentive option will help with my classroom contingency program as well. The kids will LOVE them!! Sometimes they just need that little bit of extra “magic” to make learning fun!!
