Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are enthusiastic and eager learners. They come to school each day ready to get down to the business of learning.
My second graders have come from across the world and around the corner to receive the best education possible.
Their ethnic, racial, socio-economic and linguistic diversity is one of the great strengths of our school.
These students and their families want to prepare for the future with a strong foundation. They need access to the best educational programs in order to prepare to be the leaders they were born to be!
My Project
These materials will allow me to create a document camera at home with my iPhone and provide my mathematicians with a clear, up close view of mathematical models. The manipulatives will allow my students to problem solve and show their mathematical thinking while away from our classroom.
My mathematicians will have full access to all the materials they need to excel.
The dice, pattern blocks, cubes and document camera you help to provide will allow them to recreate the classroom experience in their own homes.
