This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I currently have 42 students in my kindergarten classes. There are 21 students in each class. My students have a love for technology, reading and math. They are very excited about learning and I want to make the class interactive. My students don't have access to much technology. Many of our students are low income students and they don't have digital devices at home. The students in my classroom are a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds. I teach at a low income school and in a classroom full of eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day!
My Project
My students will benefit from the TIME for Kids subscription.
My students are so intrigued with reading.
Bringing content that we discuss into a reality is so rewarding to them. Your generous donations will impact my students a great deal.
This will change my students because it also allows them to see real-life situations in the magazine. If students see that the TIME for Kids magazines provide real-life facts, they will begin to see how important it is for them to learn the content. Reading and discussing these magazines will help close the gap of achievement for my students. After Hurricane Maria, many of my students are new to the country but have a love of science. I want to provide them with the best opportunity.
