Inquisitive, energetic, and full of wonderment are words I would use to describe my students. These students were my students in first grade and are know my students in second grade. We looped together from first to second grade.
These kiddos have so much to share, are excited about expressing themselves with words and can't wait to send their thoughts out into the world.
They love to share their writing with their classmates and their families. However, they aren't too crazy about editing their writing.
Reading rotation is part of our daily schedule so that the students can work independently and in small groups. Having multi-sensory, self-correcting tools for them to use independently to improve their skills would be wonderful.
My self-motivated writers would use these reading palettes to improve their writing skills. They love to express themselves in their writing, but editing is not so fun. These learning palettes are a fun, self-correcting way for the students to improve their skills.
These young writers will be able to practice punctuation, capitalization, word usage, vocabulary, and grammar.
These are all skills that will really enhance their writing and how they communicate through their writing. These kiddos have been inspired by many great authors, adults in their lives, and their peers. They love to share their writing. Thank you for supporting them in their efforts.
