We are from a small elementary school in central Illinois. We are a Title 1 school and most of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students I am very concerned about are my K-2 Special Ed and my 1st-3rd grade artists because, since remote learning has started, I have only gotten 8 students to turn in work to me thru e-learning.
The students can not turn in the work because they do not have any art supplies at home to create with.
It breaks my heart, to know that they can not express their feelings thru any creative process at this time. I want them to be able to draw and color. They need Sunshine and Rainbows to brighten their days until we can create together in the art room.
My Project
Please consider brightening the days for my little learners. As we continue remote learning away from our art room some don't have any art supplies at home to create the SUNSHINE and RAINBOWS that their imaginations are dreaming of at this difficult time.
You can brighten their lives and make their hearts smile!
Do you remember the JOY of using your very own watercolor paints, being the very first one to use them, making the mark on the blank paper, making it into a masterpiece? Do you remember how proud you felt when a loved one hung your art up for all to see.
Remember the importance of the ARTS. Art is your imagination at play, art is therapy. Art brings JOY at uncertain times.
