Summer Stream

Help me give my students 3D printers, LEGO baseplates, paint, and other supplies for a summer school STREAM class and Maker Space.

My Project

My students love STREAM! These materials will be used in a summer school STREAM class. The class will be an addition to students' core academic reading and math classes.

It is my experience that students who may struggle in areas of reading and math often excel in STEM activities.

I love seeing my students have success in class challenges and seeing their self-confidence rise.

Students in this class will participate in 4 weeks of themed STREAM instruction. Topics will include inventions, biomedical engineering, robotics, and force and motion.

We will use 3D printers to complete engineering design challenges in careers. Students will design and print dolphin prosthetics, car manufacturing parts, robot claws, and wind turbines. Students will use LEGO baseplates to create coding paths for younger students to solve as an introduction to coding.
