My students need materials to engage with the curriculum over summer school. Over summer we are having an ocean theme and would love to reinforce our content in a variety of ways.
I am teaching extended school year this summer with students with a variety of needs in special education. I am excited to be spending summer with these students as I get to see them continue to grow in so many aspects. I am also lucky to get a little more time with my students who are moving on to Kindergarten.
My students come to school with so much energy and are excited to explore each day.
It has been an absolute pleasure to watch students growth over this past year, as well as welcome new students to our class and begin to get to know them over summer.
My Project
We would love to fill our sensory table with kinetic sand, shovels, and buckets. We would also like to engage in a variety of art activities with ocean stickers and stamps. We got new furniture donated and finally have an amazing writing area in the classroom. We are requesting filing trays so that we can better organize paper so that students can easily access what they are looking for and new writing utilizes so children can continue to be creative in new ways.
The staff worked hard rearranging the classroom in preparation for summer school and the upcoming school year.
The kitchen area is now bigger and students have really been enjoying it. Almost all the same toy food has been in this area and it would be a delight to see students have a new ice cream shop to play with. Lastly, summer school is hot. We want to have fun outside and enjoy the sun so are looking for bubbles and spray bottles!
