Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of our students are ELLs (English language learners) and/or low-income. They are outgoing, creative, kind, and hard workers. Some popular interests are soccer, reading, video games, and Frozen 2. They love hands-on learning and chances to work together. All of our students receive free lunch.

My Project

Summer is the perfect opportunity for reading! My students love books, and they are going to be so excited to receive four brand new books that I know they'll enjoy. By supporting this project, you will help send my class of twenty-two home with Freckle Juice by Judy Bloom, Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne, The Bravest Dog Ever by Natalie Standiford, and Chocolate Fever by Robert Kimmel Smith. All of these books are student-approved!

Many of my students don't have books at home, so thank you for giving them this wonderful gift.
