Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fun, loving PREK students are eager learners. They love all things technology and hands-on exploration. They also enjoy art and creative expression.
I want to instill a love of learning and positive attitude towards school as their foundation to their educational journey.
I do this through out-of-box thinking and planning.
I foster an environment of independence by supplying them with all the appropriate tools and space within our classroom and an environment of problem-solving skills through daily activities and resources.
My Project
This three-day conference will empower my learning in all content areas and it is specific to the curriculum used in my district for PreK. I have been in Kinder for the last three years, so this would allow me the chance to refresh on PreK expectations and new state guidelines I am required to fulfill.
I am eager to learn more about aspects of the curriculum I have never used before and expand my resources and knowledge in order to be more successful in the coming years.
This training will provide me with lesson-building skills, hands-on STEM activities, technology incorporation for my classroom, and send me home with some materials. It covers all components of the curriculum (math, reading, writing, science, and social studies).
