This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Title I school is full of wonderful students that come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students that have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
My students work very hard all school year long. They deserve their much-needed summer break. Usually, after a few weeks into the summer break, students find themselves getting a little bored due to not many things to do. They also are not on a regular routine with a schedule which can cause many students to slide back a little academically.
My students love things like word searches, mazes, etc.
I want to provide my students with a fun activity book that has a variety of games and puzzles in it that will keep their thinking caps working over the summer.
