My students amaze me each and everyday! This kindergarten classroom is filled with students speaking a variety of languages, and come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students are here as refugees from another country, some are currently living in homeless shelters with their families, while others live in apartments with several families.
Despite their circumstances the come to school each day ready to learn with a smile on their face!
My students work hard each and every day in order to get ready for first grade. Each student has similar but different goals to achieve each day and everyone is making progress toward their goal. I want all my students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how small.
My Project
These chairs would help to improve the daily life in my classroom. The chairs we currently have in my classroom are very very old. I have been teaching in this classroom for six years and we have never gotten new chairs. The chairs I have are broken, some of which the screws fall out and the entire seating plate slides around. In other cases the feet of the legs are completely gone and make it very difficult for the students to move their chairs in and out freely.
These chairs would not only help my students while they are sitting and completing their work, but also help to give them a sense of pride in their classroom.
These items would all be the same appropriate height for kindergarten students, currently they are varying heights which would eliminate having to move chairs around to better fit certain students.
